INTRODUCTION

A three-day event where fashion, art, and music intersect

Fashion brand SEVESKIG (NOA Co., Ltd.) will host an art festival at ROOM MATE HARAJUKU in Harajuku, Tokyo, for three days from August 7th (Fri) to August 9th (Sun), 2026, to commemorate the release of its 2027 S/S collection.

Centered on collaborations with artists and illustrators associated with SEVESKIG, the event will not only feature the collection's product lineup but also display works by each artist interpreting SEVESKIG in their unique way. The exhibition will be structured so that products and artistic expressions are presented within the same context.

Furthermore, a NIGHT EVENT focused on music will be held on the evening of the first day, offering different cultural experiences during the day and night. This event will "SHIFT" the SEVESKIG brand into the cultural sphere.

THEME

About the theme "SHIFT"

At first glance, people label other people and things.

When another archetype is intentionally added, does the label waver, or can it transform into a different archetype?

This festival presents the very moment of "SHIFT" where existing frameworks transition into different contexts, spanning across brand, art, and music.

Program Details

01

Original Leather Jacket Production

In collaboration with SEVESKIG and three artists (Katsuya Terada / FACE / Hajime Matsuo), original leather rider jackets inspired by SEVESKIG will be produced. Each artist will interpret the brand's worldview from their unique perspective, applying it to the leather jackets using techniques such as graphics, paint, and embroidery. These special products, combining product power with artistic expression, will be exhibited and available for pre-order at the venue.

※Details of the collaborative products will be announced in the second press release.

02

Live Drawing (Katsuya Terada)

A live painting session by illustrator and manga artist Katsuya Terada will be held. This event is positioned as a core part of the festival experience, showcasing the creative process itself. The painting surface will be made of randomly stacked T-shirt bodies, acting as a canvas. The moment when the existing label of "T-shirt" shifts into a different archetype through Mr. Terada's pen will be presented as the core expression of this event.

03

Exhibition / Art Festival

The event will be structured as an art festival featuring multiple artists. Each artist will interpret the context of this project from their own perspective, expressing it through paintings, graphics, and three-dimensional objects. A circulatory pathway will be provided to allow visitors to experience the exhibition and products as they explore.

Participating Artists: Katsuya Terada / COTOH / FACE / Hajime Matsuo / Hinako Sugiyama / RIDAWO

04

NIGHT EVENT (First Night / Ticketed)

A music-centered program will be presented in a space linked to the exhibition and products. Artists with different contexts and listener demographics will gather, creating communication and an atmosphere that cannot be achieved solely through an exhibition. The entire space will be linked to the brand, art, and products, functioning as a part of culture, not just music.

Performers: gliiico / Meccha Bijin / Tee Shyne / SWAY *Performers are subject to change

ARTISTS

Participating Artists (Exhibition)

Katsuya Terada

Katsuya Terada

ILLUSTRATOR / MANGA ARTIST
Manga artist. Born in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture. Primarily active in manga, novel illustrations, games, and anime character design, he has also been increasingly active in personal exhibitions in recent years. Raised on a rich diet of Japanese manga and tokusatsu from childhood, he was profoundly impacted by French comics, especially Moebius's lines, leading to an original style that blends Eastern and Western expressions, garnering many fans both in Japan and overseas.
COTOH

COTOH

CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
COTOH's creation begins by shaking the boundaries between illustration and contemporary art, or commerciality and artistry. Her past trajectory, which utilized reproduction technologies and digital techniques, has now returned to "hand-drawn" works imbued with human physicality. This is not merely a choice of technique, but a process of redefining the inherent incompleteness of "humanity" as a reality in the post-human era.

The depicted figures are not specific individuals but "third presences" existing between reality and fiction. As "simulacra" without originals, they absorb gazes and desires from social media, acquiring a stronger reality (hyperreality) than actual existence. This also represents a cyborg-like attempt to nullify the boundaries between body and data, and to dismantle existing human images.

At the core of this thought lies the concept of "Hyper-Identity," which resembles the "superposition" state in quantum mechanics. The figures COTOH draws exist with infinite possibilities, emerging as a singular personality only through the observer's perception. The self is not something contained within a closed individual, but a "system" that is continuously generated through differences and relationships with others.

By vertically delving into the context of Japanese 2D, COTOH constructs "presences that demand existence despite not existing." This is nothing less than the presentation of a new conceptual device that updates the form of existence in the post-human era.
