The theme of the 2026 Spring/Summer collection is "MEMORIES." It embodies memories the designer himself had when he was 15 or 16 years old. The impressionable period when children transition from childhood to adulthood, when they are filled with fear of change but also with hope, was reflected in the designs and the production of the runway show. The story is set in 1995-1996, a vibrant era when skateboarding, hip hop, fusion rock, and street culture were at their peak. The runway show vividly brings to life that same passion and creative atmosphere. The symbolic item is the aloha shirt. I remember playing kick the can with my friends at night at the Galleria Takemachi Shopping Arcade in my hometown of Oita Prefecture. The illustrations include an episode where he jumped into the ocean on a skateboard using a lamp he made himself, and a scene of him skating with his friends at Beppu Park. This season, as a new attempt to return to the brand's roots, the brand held its first overseas runway show in Seoul, Korea. In addition, a collaboration has been realized with the classic omnibus animated film "MEMORIES," directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025. From "City of Cannons," which the designer says is his favorite work, he created a look inspired by the military style worn by the main character, a young boy. This khaki duck suit is paired with a body bag made from the same fabric, and has a mechanism that allows it to be transformed into a vest. The music will be produced by T-STONE, a leader in the Tokyo underground scene, YOON, who is gaining attention in the Korean underground scene, and track makers. The opening act will be Korean singer BI, who has had a close relationship with SEVESKIG in recent years, and will bring the show to a spectacular start.
