Vol.41 秋冬物充実してきました

Vol.41 Autumn/Winter items are now available

I'm currently preparing various things for my next project, but now that I have some time and mental space, I'd like to update my blog.

Although overseas orders have not yet been finalized and 22SS is still dragging on, autumn has arrived in Tokyo and I put on a riders jacket for the first time in six months.

I always leave the leather hanging in the clothes room, and even after not touching it for six months, it still has a nice, moist texture.

I often see features in magazines about how to take care of leather, but I wonder if everyone actually takes care of it that much.

On the other hand, if you put in that much oil or brush it too much, the silver surface will get scratched and the oil won't penetrate all the way, so I think it's more likely to be a bad thing than a good thing.

Is it better to do this on leather that doesn't have much oil to begin with?

We don't make leather that loses so much oil, so this is really strange to me.

By the way, today I wore the Ezo bear riders jacket that I first made for myself.

About three and a half years ago, I caught some good horse mackerel.

I think many people think that Ezo bear leather is hard, and it is certainly hard when you first put it on.

If you put up with it for about two years it will fit your body well, and I actually find it easier to wear than other types of leather.

It's a matter of personal preference so there will be individual differences.

Last week we delivered special orders to two customers.

The person who originally bought the bear had ordered the deer one, but said that the deer one was easier to wear.

That weekend, I gave the bear leather to another customer, who said that the hardness was just right.

I forgot to take a photo of the Ezo deer, but the oil wax finish makes for a striking transparent sage green riders jacket.

I took some photos of the Emishi bear, so I'll post them here.

This leather is also densely packed with fibers and has a nice shine.

The average thickness is 1.6mm, but it was about 2mm at its thickest.

By the way, one of the needles on #21 got bent lol

We use leather from the stomach area under the sleeves to prevent them from feeling too tight.

The back was made from a single piece of leather, but we were only able to get one back from one animal.

This is a true luxury finish.

A coach jacket with an Ezo bear design is very stylish!

The customer requested that the lining be suitable for winter, so we used a heat-retaining three-layer material.

In October I plan to finish 1 Ezo bear and 2 Ezo deer.

To all our customers who have been waiting, please wait a little longer.

This year, we are likely to get one more place for Emishi Kuma, so we will accept offers on a first come, first served basis.

I think there are enough Ezo deer to fit 4 or 5 outfits!

Now that the state of emergency has been lifted, please come to our store and see the actual leather.

The long-awaited special items will arrive this Saturday, October 16th!

This 100% silk fleece is brushed on both sides and knitted using 100% silk yarn woven in Oshu, a wool producing region.

This is an original fabric, so it is not available anywhere else.

This is a product that I would like you to try on, even if just for a trial.

I think it's a motif from a 90s movie that you've probably seen before, and this is a homage graphic that I drew myself lol

Since it is 100% silk, the motif is an adult silkworm.

I highly recommend it, so I hope you'll come and experience it for yourself on the 16th.

That's it this time.

See you later!
