Vol.29 ART
Share
The state of emergency has been extended again.
What exactly is the country thinking?
I had a meeting with a certain production company the other day, and they told us that they were suffering significant losses due to movie theaters and large shopping facilities being closed.
What's the point of sports being OK but entertainment being not?
"Hathaway's Flash," which was scheduled to be released on May 7, has also been postponed.
With the state of emergency being extended, I have a feeling it will be postponed again.
So these days I have a lot of time to be involved with ART both in my personal life and at work.
I feel like the scope of my art has been expanding since I met Yasumasa Yonehara on Instagram the other day.
"Goth essentials 3 person exhibition" curated by Yone-san
I dropped by because I heard I could see the work of "Tomozawa Kotao," whose work I had seen on Instagram before.
Kotao's work.
Recently, it has become famous for sticking slime on things.
It's easy with CG, but it's amazing to be able to portray this gloss and transparency.
"Pac Cat" also has other unique ways of expressing himself.
This would be easy to do with CG, but it's all expressed in layers using papercuts and photographs.
I am impressed.
"Shiki"'s works have a nostalgic American touch.
I like the unique poisonous feel.
The ink-covered Barbie doll was a shock.
I also went to the solo exhibition of "Namikawa Taihei."
The illustrations had a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of 80's anime, packaging, and advertisements.
The works usually include dialogue, allowing you to imagine what will happen next.
I also went to "q" by Koto Tsumi, who has said that she won't be holding a solo exhibition for a while.
The depiction of the girls' expressions, both nostalgic and new, is wonderful.
"I can understand superficial cuteness, but anyone who says they understand me is a liar."
is the title.
That's an interesting concept.
The solo exhibition was held in conjunction with atmos, located in front of the venue.
This is a piece that AJ1 fans won't want to miss.
I forgot to take a picture so I'll take one tomorrow.
It's also great to use different techniques to create different expressions.
If I watch so many different shows every week, I'll probably end up being drawn to that kind of thing lol
We have already started planning for 2022 S/S, and my brain is so engrossed in it that it seems to seep out whether I like it or not.
Recently, for study purposes, I've been creating one VFX piece every day in "AE".
The effects are endless, and if you add plug-in software the possibilities become even more endless.
Since it's easier to create effects in AE than in 3D, I'd like to start by learning how to use AE before moving on to 3D.
Koto-san asked me, "What are you doing as a designer?"
Today I created a fire effect and made a 6-second video.
If you generate a large number of particles, rendering takes too long, so you need a PC that can withstand that.
It doesn't work even with the Mac Book Pro I bought last year.
I guess an expandable tower is best after all.
So, I've been getting in touch with art and making all sorts of things like this, but I'm also making steady progress with SEVESKIG.
The photoshoot for "KENKEN", which I finally caught yesterday, was completed without any problems.
Once I've edited it properly I'll upload a picture.
Collaboration products will also be released afterwards.
Please check our social media or blog for more details.
There is also another exciting collaboration coming up in November, so be sure to check it out.
See you later!
