Vol.28 COVID-19 Confession
The third state of emergency was declared last Sunday.
So unfortunately the POPUP store at Hankyu Men's ended last Saturday.
In fact, we had an event planned for May that we were really looking forward to, but unfortunately we have decided to postpone it until after the COVID-19 situation has calmed down.
Do the people in the country and the prefecture really think that if they keep declaring a state of emergency, the coronavirus will go away?
After all the confusion, we are now just waiting for the vaccine to begin.
Japan is unable to administer the essential vaccine at all.
I understand that they are being cautious due to the old vaccine lawsuit issue, but what they say and what they do are completely inconsistent.
It's hindsight, but we've known since the first declaration that despite declaring a state of emergency and imposing self-restraint measures, the number of infected people hasn't decreased, right?
Well, if it doesn't get better in the end, everyone will just do whatever they want.
If that was the case, they should have passed stronger laws and imposed a lockdown for even just three weeks.
Since maintaining a good public image is important to the Japanese, I think they probably felt that Japan didn't need to lock down because of the Olympics.
Many businesses, including restaurants, event companies, major department stores, and movie theaters, have been hit hard, but some have received subsidies, grants, and one-time support payments.
However, there are companies that are almost completely unable to receive any grants or subsidies.
It's a company that was started after COVID-19 last year.
All subsidies and grants can be received in comparison with the previous year or the year before last.
So what about companies that don't have that?
In fact, our company is one of them.
Originally, I started a company to make seveskig, but I left that company in May of last year and started running seveskig through a new company.
Some people may say that it's my fault for going independent at a time like this, but I have my own circumstances.
With subsidy fraud rampant, I understand why companies that started up after the pandemic are being ignored, but I think you can make a judgment quickly by looking at their business track record.
I think our situation is still better, but I think it's really tough for a company that starts from scratch.
Borrowing money is a temporary solution that will only end up strangling you.
That's why some companies encourage you to do things on your own as much as possible, but I think that's probably really tough.
If Japan continues to ignore such things, its future is in jeopardy.
I don't usually say things like this to others, but I wanted to write it down just to let you know that this is the current situation.
Well, there are people who wouldn't have been born or met if it weren't for COVID, so I don't want to criticize everything in general.
As I posted on my blog the other day, I've also been learning new ways of expression using 3D, motion graphics, etc.
It would be easier to just leave it to the professionals, but the things you can create will be completely different depending on whether or not you understand the process.
For now, I'm trying it myself.
I posted it on Instagram, but the other day I also made a promotional video for "Takagi Koichiro."
We've also signed a contract with a company that is trying new things, so instead of being pessimistic, I plan to continue doing lots of interesting things.
