Vol.19 TOKYO SANDAL VS SEVESKIG

Spring is just around the corner, and the apparel industry has entered the 21-22 A/W exhibition season.

SEVESKIG is scheduled to start on March 8th after the state of emergency is lifted.

I'm also scheduled to take part in Tokyo Collection for the first time on March 15th, so I'm still as busy as ever.

The movie will be available from 5 p.m.

It's going to be an interesting video, so be sure to check it out on the official website.

There may or may not be a press conference.

Today we will be introducing products from our second collaboration with "TOKYO SANDAL".

It is scheduled to be available at wholesalers nationwide and at 7.SKL Lab from next week.

*The store is not open yet, so please purchase from our online shop.

It is scheduled to open in mid-March.

This time, following on from the last time, we have collaborated on two types of items.

I fell in love with the "TABI SLIP-ON" at first sight when I went to a TOKYO SANDAL exhibition some time ago.

This collaboration started with the idea of making this product using SEVESKIG game leather.

I don't recommend them, but I think I basically talked about them assuming that they were sandals that you could wear while riding a motorcycle.

One of the themes for the 21SS season was to show the reverse side, so we used a combination of outer leather and suede.

This is what it looks like when you put them on.

To improve cushioning, we had colored leather sandwiched between the middle boards.

The color variations are C/#BLACK and C/#GRAY, and the gray one is colored by sandwiching purple leather between the layers.

The leather used is Ezo deer, which is also used for riders' jackets, so it also has the SEVESKIG game meat stamp on it.

The lining and inner are natural brown in color.

When engraved on suede it looks blurry, but the other type "W-MONK" is engraved on the outer leather so it looks clear.

I've been wearing this style since I was young, and it keeps me cool even when riding my bike, so I decided to collaborate with them.

Like the SLIP-ON, the W-MONK also has leather inserted between the middle boards.

The natural grain of the Ezo deer gives it a wild look.

The soles are originals from "THE BOOTS FACTORY", the factory that produces TOKYO SANDAL.

As you can see from the sole, it fits snugly around the arch of the foot, making it less likely for your feet to get tired even when wearing them for long periods of time.

It's a very clever gimmick and I'm impressed.

This is a photo of me wearing them.

The two-tone look is nice.

Occasionally you will come across leather where the color of the suede surface has faded, but that is leather that has been skived after dyeing, and in my opinion, this may result in it being weaker.

As you can see from the leather used in this article, the leather used by SEVESKIG is skived, so the color is carried all the way through to the back.

So once the leather arrives you can choose whether to use the front or the back.

This means that we can create products with such combinations.

My own one will arrive next week, and I can't wait.

I think I've written this before, but Ezo deer has a hard oil and wax finish, which softens with use, so I feel like it produces some pretty good flavor.

I hope it gets warmer soon so I can wear them a lot.

Although they are not on sale now, I have included some photos of items that were made as part of the upcycling series two years ago.

I'm grateful to TOKU for always putting up with my crazy requests.

Although it is not timed to coincide with the collaboration, the SOX seen in the previous photo will also be released at the same time.

The only sample I had was C/#BURGUNDY, but there were other

Also available in C/# BLACK and C/# PURPLE.

It has an interesting shape reminiscent of a western boot, and the back part has a gimmick where it glows when exposed to sunlight.

By the way, SOX uses antibacterial thread, so the odor is not noticeable.

It includes wording that motorcyclists will understand, so please come and see it in store or on our online shop.

Finally, I've attached a video of when they made the sample last year.

It's short, but please take a look.

The next post will be the day before the photo shoot for Tokyo Fashion Week, so I hope to give you a sneak peek at some items for next season.

See you later!
