Vol.16 “BACK SIDE 557 JKT”
Time flies and January 2021 is coming to an end.
7S.LK.L Lab is almost complete.
It turned out quite interesting.
There are some areas such as lighting and storage that we can't decide until we try them out, so we have them make additional one-off additions as we use them.
*The video shown here is an archived sample.
Now that 2021 S/S merchandise has arrived at Unfinished Lab, we will be focusing on the 21 S/S recommended item , the “BACK SIDE 557 JKT” .
As you can tell from the name, the shape is sampled from "LE●I'S" 557.
It is not a 557XX, but a 557 successor to the XX.
This is what is commonly known as the final version of the 3RD.
We have faithfully reproduced the pattern making and the finer details, but have updated parts that were difficult to use or wear.
I like the 70505's shishamo-like sleeves and slightly longer length, but the rough hems and worn-out fabric are only available in the 557.
I guess I'm attracted to anything that's unfinished.

#BACK STYLE
This time we are using silver-finished steer suede from Hokkaido.
When you hear the word suede, you probably think of something cheap, but the cheap suede is actually toko leather that has been split into silver pieces.
Please be careful not to make any mistakes.
Toco leather is easily torn because it does not contain silver.
Since silver-plated leather is used inside out, it is as strong as regular genuine leather and the cost is the same.
This is a technique I tried for the first time.
Normally, the seam allowance is sewn inside and then decorative stitched on the front, but this time the seam allowance is exposed and finished with a double stitch.
Using this technique, the amount of leather overlap is reduced by half, and even with thick leather there is little overlap in the seam allowance, resulting in a stress-free fit.
It may seem like a quick and easy method, but since there are no guides, it requires quite advanced skills to use.
In addition, this time the full vegetable fins have been milled, resulting in a wonderful jacket that is soft yet flavorful.
Usually, if you make it fully veggie, it tends to become hard, and if it's suede, it becomes too hard to chew.
Suede looks cool, but it's hard and prone to cracking.
In particular, vintage suede from "LE●I'S" is often found to have had all the oil removed.
If you apply oil to suede from the outside, the fine fuzz will flatten.
However, since SEVESKIG suede is made with a lot of oil, there is no need to add oil for a while.
When you say maintenance, does it just involve brushing?
If I had to say something, it would be that since it's fully vegetarian and light in color, you should be careful not to get sunburn.
It can burn in sunlight, but it can also burn from indoor fluorescent lights.
After use, please cover it like this.
When you purchase from 7S.KL Lab (or from the ONLINE SHOP), a garment case will be included by default.
For this suede we use "SCOVIL DOT", a dot button that SEVESKIG uses for thicker leather.
Apparently it's military spec.
C/#PURPLE is all nickel, while C/#BEIGE uses a combination of nickel and black nickel.
There is a reason for this; the baked-on black nickel paint makes it slightly thicker, which makes it fit too tightly.
Therefore, by using nickel for the handle and spring, and black nickel for the tips, we have made it this convenient to prevent the handle from getting too tight and to avoid damaging the outer material.
It's a subtle point that you might miss if you just look casually, but be sure to take a look at items that use SEVESKIG's black nickel dot buttons.
By the way, all leather items made in Japan have this tag attached.
By everything, I mean everything from the individual parts to the finished product.
When it gets a little warmer, I'd like to go out wearing just this over a vintage T-shirt.
I bought it myself and am wearing it, and it's a stress-free "BACK SIDE 557 JKT"
is.
The stock we received has been sold through pre-order, so we are limited to only one of each color, but please do pick one up and try it on.
See you later!
