Vol.35 初今治出張
先週はバタバタすぎてブログ更新できませんでした、、、
最近は2022SSのサンプル準備やら期中コラボの準備や、出張やらで毎日が目まぐるしく過ぎて行きます。
こんなに忙しいのには理由があります。
実は5月末にパタンナーが交通事故に遭ってしまって、1ヶ月入院していたからなんです。。
幸い命には別状はなかったのですが割と重症な感じでまるっと1ヶ月入院でした。
見事なほど真っ二つに折れていたので、綺麗に治りそうですね。
なんにせよ早く事務所復帰してもらいたい。。
というわけでバイク乗りの皆様も車の皆様も運転には十分注意して、より良いモーターLIFEをお過ごしください。
前置きが長くなりましたが、今回は初の四国出張に行ってきたので、それについて書こうと思います。
四国に行ったのは中学校以来です。
しかもほぼ四万十川をカヌーで降った記憶しか無いので、ほぼ四国は0と言って良いと思います。
ちょうどお昼時に着いたので、うどんをご馳走になりました。
香川のうどんとは違い、芯があるけど表面が柔らかい感じの食感です。
僕は九州の出身なので柔らかい派なんですが、愛媛のうどんはかなり好きな感じでした。
愛媛の人はせっかちな人が多いらしく、入り口におでんをおいているお店が多いそうですw
食後に工場を隅々まで案内してもらいました。
糸に糊付けする機械、ビームを巻く機械、二重ビーム織機、タオル屋さんでもかなり珍しい力織機などなど。
写真だとわかりにくいので、動画をみてみてください。

これだけの糸をかけるだけでもかなり大変ですね。
掘削機みたいな見た目ですが、ビームを巻いています。
いつもジャカード織機を見ると本当に大変な作業をしてるなと思います。
動画の中でも話していますが、上のビームはゆるくて、下のビームは張った状態になっています。
この機械も初見でした。
糸に糊を付ける機械らしいのですが、通常は糸屋さんがやってくれます。
どうしても糸屋さんが糊つけ出来ない糸があるらしく、この工場さんでは自社で糊つけしているそうです。
上に目を向けると通常のジャカード織機と違い、放射状に糸が伸びています。
この上の幅でタオルの幅が決まるそうです。
ちょっとしたアートですね。
本当に驚いたのはジャカード力織機です。
ジャカードは紋紙という板みたいな厚紙？の穴に合わせて柄を組んでいきます。
最近はデータ処理でPCと織機を繋ぐコンピュータージャカードが主流なので、あまりお目に掛からなくなりました。
実際の写真はこんな感じ。
今では紋紙を作る工場が減ってきてみたいで、半年から一年待ちらしいです。
もちろん力織機にデータを飛ばせないので、もし力織機でタオルを作るとなると1年掛で作らないといけないのです。
それだけ貴重な織機なのです。
現代の高速織機と違い時間をかけて空気を含みながらゆっくり織っていくので生地の仕上がりがふんわりと仕上がるんです。
それはパイル織機に限られたことではなく、デニム織機でも同じ現象が起こります。
デニムの力織機はセルビッジって言われる生地を織っている織機です。
あれもふわりとした仕上がりになるのが良くて、わざわざ時間をかけて昔の織機を使うのです。
単純に耳が付いてるから良いデニムだって思っている人がいますが、それは大間違いです。
取締役が話していたのですが、現存して現役で動いているパイル力織機はかなり珍しいそうです。
工場に着いた時には動いてなかったのですが、工場長がわざわざ動かしてくれました。
やっぱり力織機の音いつ聞いても好きです。
職人さんになると織機の音で調子がわかるそうですよ。
デニムの織機を選びに行った時は、この織機が調子いいからこれにしたらって言われて選んだ記憶があります。
職人さんは大事にしないとこの先日本でいい物作りが出来なくなりますね。。
こう言うのずっとみてられます。
説明を踏まえて来期のサンプル着分オーダーをしてきました。
まだ詳細は出せませんが、必ずいい生地が誕生すると思います。
8月末にRAKUTEN FASHION WEEK TOKYOに参加しますので、その時にでも完成した生地をお披露目したいと思います。
