Vol.30.2 日常の裁断風景
先週ブログ更新しなかったので、今週2回目のブログ更新。
22S/Sの企画が煮詰まってきたので、梅雨になる前に機場やニッターさんに行き始めたんですけど、初高速で確保されてしまいました。。
休みの日の北関東道にはお気をつけ下さい。。
その後事務所に戻りスペシャルオーダーの裁断を。
革の裁断はたまに見ると思うんですけど、毛皮の裁断はあまり見たことがないんじゃないかな。
毛皮は皆さん知っての通り毛が付いているので、毛面から裁断ができません。
今回は青森で獲れた月輪熊と、北海道で獲れた蝦夷グマを使用した「熊ジャン」の裁断です。
月輪は蝦夷熊と違い、黒い感じですね。
毛が薄い部分が入らない様に部位を確認しながら、裏面から裁断していきます。
の前に銀ペンでパターンを写します。
革を裁断するとには時間がもったいないので絶対にしませんが、毛を切らない様にここは時間をかけていきます。
写し終わったら新品の刃を使い革部分だけを裁断。
新品の刃は切れ味が凄いので、余計な力を入れなくても裁断できます。
刃が下のマットまで到達しない様に気を付けながら慎重かつ迅速に。
かつ無駄がない様に裁断していきます。
裁断後の余り革を「落とし」と言うのですが、落としは捨てないでとっておきます。
なるべく全て使う為に。
この後に革の裁断をするので、切り落とした毛は掃除機で綺麗に吸い取っておきます。
その後難しい裁断です。
通常の革であればそんなに難しくないのですが、うちのジビエの革は(特に熊革)は縁の部分が立体になっています。
何故立体になっているのかは長くなるのでまた今度。
部位を見ながら、かつ革を無駄にしない様に。
なるべく左右の色のバラつきが出ない様に、同じ個体で左右が取れる様にします。
シボの具合も左右対称にしたいので、吟味に時間をかけていきます。
どこで取るか決まれば裁断は早いです。
毛皮を切って、油でダメになった刃はポキポキ折って新しい刃を使います。
今回もオイルがしっかり入ったいい皮に仕上がっています。
良いフルベジの革は断面がキラキラ光るんです。
それを見るだけで良い革かダメな革かが一目瞭然ですね。
特にオイルがしっかり入った革は、何の抵抗もなく刃がスッと入ります。
全パーツで40パーツくらいあるのですが、大体一着切り終わるのに2時間くらいかけます。
何も考えなければ1時間くらいで終わるのですが、伸びないといけない部分や、伸ばしたくない部分を考えて裁断すると倍くらいの時間がかかりますね。
牛革のクロムでしっかり伸ばし切った革であれば、何も考えずに30分くらいで切れるかもしれません。
それだけフルベジの熊ジャンの裁断は難しいのです。
裁断後並べてみました。
これもあまり見ない光景かもしれませんね。
僕らもこうやって並べる事は皆無です。
